Venus Yacht Steve Jobs Aalsmeer NetherlandsVenus, Steve Jobs’ 250-foot yacht, has finally been revealed in the Netherlands.

The photos and videos of the boat were first released by Dutch blog One More Thing, and show the details of the meticulously-designed boat that Jobs’ commissioned six years ago and designed with the help of minimalist designer Philippe Starck, ABC News reported.

The vessel, named after the Roman goddess of love, beauty, sex, fertility, prosperity and victory, features teak deck, floor-to-ceiling glass, and, of course, seven 27-inch iMacs on board, Mashable reported.

In the biography of Jobs’ life by Walter Isaacson, the Apple CEO acknowledged that he may not live to see Venus through to completion.

“I know that it’s possible I will die and leave Laurene (his wife) with a half-built boat. But I have to keep going on it. If I don’t, it’s an admission that I’m about to die,” Jobs reportedly said.

The Jobs family gifted the crew that worked on the boat with iPod shuffles with the name of the ship inscribed on the back, CNN reported.

Venus designed by Steve Jobs has finally been completed – a year after the Apple genius’ death. The flashy 250-foot vessel, complete with numerous hi-tech gadgets, has been named Venus. The super-ship is made of lightweight aluminium and has 10 foot-high windows and seven iMac computers.

As first described by Walter Isaacson, writing about the boat in his October, 2011 biography entitled, “Steve Jobs:”

“As at an Apple store, the cabin windows were large panes, almost floor to ceiling, and the main living area was designed to have walls of glass that were forty feet long and ten feet high. He had gotten the chief engineer of the Apple stores to design a special glass that was able to provide structural support. By then the boat was under construction by the Dutch custom yacht builders Feadship, but Jobs was still fiddling with the design.”

“‘I know that it’s possible I will die and leave Laurene with a half-built boat,’ he said. ‘But I have to keep going on it. If I don’t, it’s an admission that I’m about to die.’”
