Advice to Redesign Your Business Facebook Page

Using Facebook to promote your business is a very good idea, but you want to be using it right so that you get the maximum benefit from your efforts.  You want to extend your reach and maximize your exposure so that you are constantly gaining new followers because this means that your business is getting recognized and people trust businesses that they recognize.  If you already have a Facebook page for your business, you should take the time to analyze and assess it so that you can be sure that it is working for you.

Assign Multiple Admins to Your Page

Advice to Redesign Your Business Facebook PageThe more admins you have, the more pools of potential fans you have access to, according to  You want to be a bit picky about who you choose to be an admin and choose people who own the company or even people from your management team.  Every admin should spend about an hour a week interacting with the page and on the site to attract new people to the page.

Check Your Images for Relevancy

The images on your page must all be relevant to your business or else this can confuse people who are visiting your page.  For example, your avatar and your Timeline cover photo must pertain to what you do.  For instance, if you are a technology startup, your cover and image should be related to technology without using a popular brand like Apple or Dell.

Consider the Posts That You Make

This is something you would change going forward and you do not have to go back and edit any past posts.  You want to attract people to your page and one of the best ways to do this is to post in a way that catches people’s eye, such as using relevant images, posting links to interesting articles and using language that encourages interaction, such as asking questions and asking your fans for their opinions and ideas.

Do a Page Edit

You want to look at your page and make sure that everything written is grammatically correct, that punctuation is used correctly and that everything is spelled right.  People do notice these things and errors can cause people to think that you are not professional and this can result in lost fans and customers.  This will only take you about an hour and there is no need to edit posts that are more than a week old, so this can be done pretty quickly.

Get a Little Personal

It is good to add things like photos of your staff, your physical business and your products.  This will allow people to get to know your business and those responsible for keeping it running.  This adds a human element and people will appreciate this and be able to relate to it.  When people can relate to a business, they tend to trust them and trust always equals loyal and long-term customers.
