After all, Internet is a game of numbers
Internet Business Sales
Many Internet Entrepreneurs who have recently launched their internet venture ask me the same question over and over again, “I have worked hard to develop my website and I have also market it well. But why do the Internet Business Sales don’t go up?”
This question is asked by almost every entrepreneur who has started his new venture on the internet. I know how frustrating it is when you have launched a great website business and as months pass, it is not generating any Sales. You have spent lots of money behind internet marketing and still the sales don’t rise up.
Well, the simple answer to this question is – Web traffic
The Internet is a game of numbers. The more web traffic your web properties have, the more sales you will have. You cannot imagine thousands of dollars of sales that can be triggered with just few hundred monthly visitors to your website.
So you have to focus on increasing the web traffic of your web property. The more web traffic your site has, naturally the more sales your Internet Business will have.
The web traffic functions on the same level just like the Foot-traffic in the offline world. Suppose you run a store in the offline world. And your store receives 100 visitors daily, while someone else’s store has 1,000 visitors. Who will have more sales? Obviously the store which has 1,000 visitors daily.
Another important key factor is the conversion rate. Now, not the all the visitors visiting your store (Online or Offline) will buy from your store. Some are just the window shoppers. So it is the conversion rate which matters. Meaning; the percent of visitors to your store (Online or offline) that actually buy the service or products.
Usually 1-5% conversion rate is a good one while more than 5% conversion rate is extremely good.
So for the Internet Business Sales, it is extremely important that you first build the web traffic on your website. You focus on SEO, Social Marketing, AdWords Campaign, Facebook & Twitter Campaign, Link Building and everything else that brings more traffic to your website business.
Once your website obtains a certain level of web traffic, say 1,000 unique visitors daily or more, it will automatically start to generating sales.

Internet Business Growth
Internet Business Growth: Things to keep in mind
The growth of any Business is the prime goal of any Entrepreneur. This is true for any Business – Offline and Online. Now, every Business has its own criteria for growth. The revenue of Business is not the only criteria of growth of a Business.
Mainly there are two criterias for any Internet Business growth.
1) Asset Size
2) Web traffic
As a rule of thumb, as the Asset size of your Internet Business increases, the web traffic has to increase over the time. Say for Example, you are running a Blog Business than has its main asset as the Blog Archive. So suppose right now your blog has 100 articles in an archive and you increase its size to 200 articles. That means that your Business has grown by 100%. Even if your Blog has not posted any Revenue or even web traffic growth.
The increase in the asset size of any business means you are increasing the probability of its future sales and revenues. – This is true for any Business wheather it’s online or offline.
Now, in the case of Internet Business, if you increase its Asset size; you are increasing the future probability of the web traffic and thus your website revenue.
Sometimes it takes time to show the Internet Business Asset & Web traffic growth in its Revenue. But as a rule of thumb, if the Asset size of your Internet Business has grown, the web traffic has to grow and after that the Revenue also has to Grow.
But it may take few months to grow the revenue. So the only key thing that any Internet Entrepreneur should focus on is the growth of Asset size of your Web Business. The rest will automatically follow the growing Asset size.
